As Ron Kennedy pointed out in his book
, "Reclaiming Liberty." The 20th Century in America witnessed glorious victories for those who believe
in extreme federalism - big government, centralized government
control, liberalism and socialism. Conservatism on the other hand
can look back with shame at one humiliating defeat after the other.”
At the beginning of the 20th Century the federal
government enacted the income tax law. Conservatives fought against it, lost and
never mounted a counter attack. The same can be said for every other
socialist victory: the passage of the Federal Reserve act, all of
FDR’s socialist schemes, and all of Lyndon Baines Johnson’s
socialist war on poverty scheme.
Conservatives always opposed, always lost and never
mounted a counter-attack. All the while the scope and power of the
federal government grew and grew.
After 100 years of conservative failure, don’t
you think it’s time to rethink our strategy?
During the past 75 years the Republican Party has
been the conservative party in America. But it has never turned back
the socialist schemes of the Democrat. Often the Republicans have
joined the Democrats to defend those schemes. Even under the most
conservative president in this century Ronald Reagan, only the speed
at which the federal government grew was reviewed. The overall size
and power of government was never decreased.
Even after the vaulted Republican revolution of 1994
and after three Republican presidents and a Supreme Court filled
with Republican appointed judges, government continues to grow and
society becomes less civil. After all this, it should be obvious
that we must change the Republican Party if we are ever to correct
the malignant growth of the federal government. The party of
conservatism must be dedicated to returning to We the People of the
Sovereign States the ability to force the federal government to live
by the Constitution. We must have real States Right’s or that little
bit of liberty upon which we now barely subsist, that too shall be
taken from us.
