Welcome to another presentation brought to you by the Exploratory

Donnie one of the issues
we would like to deal with today is the subject of Illegal Immigration. It is
certainly a hot topic today. What is Donnie Kennedy’s view on
Illegal Immigration?
Donnie:
I don’t know where people have a problem with the term illegal
immigration, the term illegal says it all, Ray. Illegal is criminal
activity and we should not reward criminal activity. What really
upsets me is that we will send troops anywhere in the world to
protect the borders of other nations. Bosnia, Iraq, North and South
Korea, you name the country and we are willing to send troops there
to protect those borders.
Why don’t we protect our own
borders, Ray?
What’s the problem with
saying, “If you want to come to this country we have certain laws
that you must obey to get into this country and to stay in this
country.” I don’t see the problem.
Why is it that the federal
government having a problem?
Let me answer that question
right quick. We are having that problem because there is no one to
hold their feet to the fire - since Appomattox. Again we are going
back to that old story, at Appomattox State’s Rights was destroyed.
The federal government is now king of the hill. It has no one that
can force it to live by its contractual agreement with us – we the
people of the sovereign States. We now are now the subjects of the
federal government and it is our master. And it does as it pleases.
So therefore until we can address that issue – illegal immigration
is still going to be a problem. We have got to address that issue.
And as I said, quit rewarding criminal activity, Ray.
Ray:
Well that brings us to next question then about illegal immigration.
What is the proper role of the federal government in curtailing
illegal immigration?
Donnie:
I have said many times that one of our problems we are having with
the federal government, Ray is that it is real good at doing those
things that it has no constitutional mandate or authority to do. But
those things that it was designed to do – it is failing to do.
And again I am going back. I
don’t mean to beat the same issue over and over. But until we can
provide the means to force the federal government to abide by the
Constitution we will continue to have failure. In essence our major
problem right now in political America is that the system is broken.
It was totally broken at Appomattox. Until we address those issues,
illegal immigration will always be a problem. A federal government
out of control will always be a problem. Taxes that you are paying
out your ears, it seems like sometimes. We are coming up soon on
more taxes, every quarter a businessman has to pay more taxes, April
15 every American has to shell out. Well no Ray, it is not every
American. Excuse me. I made a mistake there. It is only those of us
who have to work for a living have to pay out more and more of our
money to the federal government that is totally out of control.
