| MISS DIXIES STOCKHOLM SYNDROME Many people will remember the case of millionaire heiress Patty Hearse who was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army back in 1974. After a somewhat extended time as a hostage it was reported that Miss Hearse had “gone native,” that is, she began to identify with her captors and their radical philosophy. This act of a hostage becoming one with their captors has been described by many experts as the “Stockholm Syndrome.” The existence of this syndrome and whether Miss Hearst was a victim of it is something that is debated to this day. Nevertheless, when it comes to “political” Stockholm syndrome, Dixie, that is, the South, is without a doubt a victim. Click here for more information |

| KENNEDY G.O.P. UPDATE  - May 21, 2007 The past two and one-half weeks have been busy for the Kennedy Exploratory Committee. During this time I have driven over 1800 miles and spoken in several places, signed books, and given out a lot of literature. Along with writing articles, answering e-mails, and arranging future interviews and speaking engagements, this campaign has been rather busy. Please remember that if this effort to promote our unique (true American) ideas of liberty is to be successful, it will depend upon your help. No one person can undo the ill effects of an out of control Federal government by himself. I must have your continued prayers and help. Click here for more information |

| DIXIES UNWELCOMED PRESENCE  IN ROSIE ODONNELLS AMERICA Most Americans, including Southerners, have no problem in proclaiming that the United States is one nation indivisible. Yet, in reality there are two Americas, the Jeffersonian republic of local institutions that Southerners imagine they live in and the liberal nation-state so loved by the likes of Rosie O’Donnell. Patrick Henry observed that when faced with a painful reality, “It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth.” Mr. Henry could have been describing modern evangelical Southern conservatives who refuse to recognize the fact that they live in something less than the Jeffersonian republic their founding fathers gave them. | Trying to Reclaim Sanity in Washington Walter D. Kennedy, co-author with his brother Ron, of the best selling book "The South Was Right" as well as several others, has formed an exploratory committee to consider the possibility of running for president in 2008. He sees major problems with the Republican Party as presently constituted. He has written: "After seventy-five years of Republican failure it is now obvious that we must change the Republican Party if we are ever to correct the growth of government and the loss of liberty. Jeffersonian Republicans, that is, southern conservative Republicans, must force a change in the GOP, and therefore America if we hope to reduce the size, scope and power of big Brother government." And don't think you'll get any help from the Democrats in that area. They are every bit as enamoured of the power of big government as the Republicans. Click here for more information |

| Paddling Ones Own Canoe This article was originally written in response to the utter failure of government in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Not only does it expose the failure of socialism, that is, big government, it also demonstrates that the Republican Party is part of the problem and not part of the solutions to the growth of socialism in America. | Rebels In The Republican Ranks Southern conservatives awoke the 15th of July 2005 to read the following headline in many local papers "G.O.P. Apologies to NAACP for Southern Strategy." For many Southerners this was somewhat of a rude awaking that hot Southern July morning. Click here for more information |
