Ray: Welcome to another presentation brought to you by the Exploratory Committee to elect Donnie Kennedy to the G.O.P. Presidential nomination in 2008. I am joined here by Donnie Kennedy. Donnie is of course the best selling author of The South Was Right, published by Pelican Publishing, and also the author of Myths of American Slavery and a number of other books. Donnie - thank you for being with us.

Donnie: Thank you Ray, for inviting me.

Ray: Donnie, why an exploratory committee?

Donnie: Simply an exploratory committee is we are delving into the possibility of running a real campaign in the Southern primaries for the Presidential nomination for the Republican Party. As I travel across this country, especially through the South, I have people come up to me time and time after I speak and say “Why don’t we get involved. Why don’t we do some thing? Lets take this message into the political arena and lets let everybody, not just the few people here in this room, but everybody hear what you are saying now. We need to return this government back to “We the People …” We need to reestablish Real State’s Rights. We need to limit the federal government, and force the federal government to abide by the Constitution. Let’s get into the political area.”

And I have heard that for years now. When this campaign came along I decided lets talk about it. I talked to some friends across the South. We got a little committee together and we decided we just see if this balloon will float. Let’s see if there is interest out there about getting this into a real campaign. Let’s take our message into the Republican Party. Let’s shake the Republican up. This is a party that claims to be the party of conservatism, Ray. But for the last 75 years we have had nothing but one conservative failure after another.

How much more can we take? We have got to do something different!

If every time I walk into your house I bump my head, you would think that sooner or later I would realize I gotta do something different when I walk into your house.

Every four years we the people here in the South have been walking into the Republican house and we have been getting our head bumped. And then guess what happens? Some where in mid term we have people like the Republican chairman start kissing the toes of the NAACP and apologizing for his Southern strategy. Do you remember that a few years ago.

Ray: That’s right.

Donnie: I mean we are the people who made them a majority party. Now they are going to run to our arch enemy, the people who are most involved in increasing the size and scope of government, and they are going to apologize to them, and in the process slap us in the face. So we get bumped on the head, slapped in the face, kicked in the tail by the Republican Party. It is time for Southerners to take control of the Republican Party here in the South and force a change in the Republican Party and change America back to what Our Founding Fathers, North and South, originally intended for us to be.

Ray: Donnie there certainly are a lot of Southerners who would be glad to see that happen. What can people begin to do now, even with the exploratory committee to get involved in the process?

Donnie: Well we said in our exploratory committee, we have been up front we can’t do this by our self. I can’t do it by myself. The committee that I am working with - we can’t do by our self. We need more people, we need help. We need a lot of help. Of course part of that obviously is finances. You can not run a credible campaign without a certain of revenue flowing in.

Are you catching a vision of Liberty and land of Liberty that this guy got? If you have then I need you to signup – become a volunteer. Become a worker in this movement. We will indeed change from an exploratory committee into a full blown campaign.

I need money. It is not for Donnie Kennedy – it is for the Cause of Liberty. We have got to shakeup the Republican Party. We have got to change this country or else we will forever be subject to federal tyranny.
