Once again our effort to shake up the
Party of Lincoln and restore real American Liberty has had a
very fruitful and eventful two weeks. With
radio interviews and speaking engagements our campaign has had
the privilege of meeting old friends and making new friends.
On Thursday, April 12th, Betty
and I drove to Osceola, Missou ri.
I had the pleasure of speaking at a meeting of the Army of the
Trans-Mississippi in Osceola, hosted by the Coffee Camp. I can
assure you that the well-deserved reputation of this camp was
demonstrated during my stay in Missouri. I left Missouri Sunday
morning convinced that Missouri is in good hands when it comes
to defending our Southern heritage. Saturday night I spoke to
the delegates and guests, numbering between 150-200 enthusiastic
Southerners.
Speaking
on the topic of ‘The South, Defender of Liberty,’ I
pointed out that we the people of the South have a long history
in promoting and defending liberty (something you will not hear
about from the politically correct media and educational
system). During my presentation, I pointed out the strong
connection that socialists from Marx to Hitler have with the
original Republican Party an d Mr. Lincoln. The folks from
Missouri well understand this because radical socialists and
communists invaded Missouri just before the War for Southern
Independence broke out. If you ever wonder why after electing so
many Republicans to office, Congress and the White House,
perhaps it is because at bottom, the G.O.P. is America’s big
government party. There will be more to come on this subject in
the future.
Ron Kennedy, author of ‘Reclaiming
Liberty,’ has just written an article to be published within the
next week or so titled ‘Dixie’s Unwelcome Presencein Rose
O’Donnell’s America.’ In this article Ron clearly demonstrates
the distinctive differences between the America of Dixie and
that of the rest of the United States. After reading his article
I noticed two e-mails from friends, both of which re-enforced
Ron’s premise of two Americas. The first was a survey of
opinions on gun control. A map of the States where the vast
majority of people were against governmental gun control and
those States in favor of more gov ernmental
gun control looked like a map of the Confederate States of
America and the United States of America minus the South. This
is not to infer that only Southerners believe in the right to
keep and bear arms but it was the South where the vast majority
of people hold that view.
Also, I got an e-mail that pointed out that
ESPN was doing a poll on the question of “Should the State of
South Carolina display the Confederate Flag on the grounds of
the State Capitol?” Once again the map of the results of this
poll looked like a map of the Confederate States of America
(voting yes they should display the Confederate Flag) and the
United States of America, minus the South, (voting no they
should not display the Confederate Flag).
Two
things should be pointed out about this poll: (1) What business
is it of anyone outside of South Carolina what flag they display
at THEIR capitol? (2) The same mentality that people outside the
South display by interfering in the business of South Carolina’s
display of a Confederate Flag is likewise displayed in their
demand that the South drop its adherence to true Christianity,
its pro-life stance, and its rejection of homosexuality.
The strident attacks on everything
Southerners hold dear by the likes of Rose O’Donnell does not
stop at the Confederate Flag but is aimed at the very soul of
our Southland. The Kennedy 2008 G.O.P. Campaign is an effort to
awaken our fellow Southerners of the danger of our way of life
if we do not engage and defeat these enemies of our Southland.
Please help me by continuing your
efforts in promoting this campaign. Tell others about what we
are doing and encourage them to look at our web page and get
involved in this effort to promote our core values of
Christianity and liberty.
Deo Vindice,
Walter D. (Donnie) Kennedy
